Over the past 15 years, I have led many students through yoga teacher training programs. During that time, I’ve witnessed incredible transformations—not just in people’s ability to teach yoga, but in their confidence, their relationships, their careers, and the way they show up in their lives.

And that’s exactly why I created the shefayoga Teacher Training Program.

I wanted something different.

I wanted to create a program that was about more than learning how to teach a yoga class or cue a perfect pose. While those skills are important, I believe the true power of yoga lies far beyond the physical practice.

Yoga is a pathway to self-discovery.

It is an opportunity to understand who you are beneath the expectations, conditioning, fears, and stories that have shaped you.

When I designed this training, I wanted it to help people find their voice.

Not the polished voice.

Not the perfect voice.

Not the voice that says what everyone wants to hear.

I wanted people to discover their authentic voice—the one that emerges when we stop trying to be perfect and start being real.

Because in my experience, authenticity is far more powerful than perfection.

One of the greatest barriers to growth is the fear of failure. We spend so much of our lives trying to avoid mistakes, avoid judgment, avoid vulnerability. Yet it is often in those exact moments—when we are willing to stand in discomfort, uncertainty, and fear—that our greatest growth occurs.

The training asks students to step into those spaces.

To speak before they feel ready.

To be seen before they feel confident.

To share their truth before they know exactly how it will be received.

Not because the goal is perfection, but because the goal is courage.

And courage is what creates transformation.

I believe the best teachers, leaders, and mentors are not the people who appear flawless. They are the people who are willing to be honest. They are willing to be vulnerable. They are willing to admit that they don’t have all the answers.

People are inspired by authenticity.

People are drawn to leaders who are genuine.

People trust those who are willing to show up as themselves.

That is why this training places such a strong emphasis on self-study and self-reflection.

We ask deeper questions.

Who are you when no one is watching?

What beliefs are holding you back?

What stories are you still carrying?

What would become possible if you stopped letting fear make your decisions?

Yes, we study anatomy.

Yes, we learn sequencing.

Yes, we explore yoga philosophy and practice teaching.

But we also dive into the emotional body, the energetic body, mindfulness, leadership, communication, and personal growth.

Because yoga is not just something we practice on a mat.

Yoga is a way of living.

The ultimate goal of this program is not simply to create yoga teachers.

It is to help people become leaders of their own lives.

Leaders who trust themselves.

Leaders who communicate authentically.

Leaders who make aligned decisions.

Leaders who have the courage to pursue what matters most to them.

Some graduates leave the program and become exceptional yoga teachers.

Others never teach a single class.

And both outcomes are equally valuable.

Because whether you choose to teach yoga or simply deepen your practice, the real work is learning how to live with greater awareness, purpose, and authenticity.

This training is designed not just to teach yoga, but to transform lives.
